Stack Runner

Combines Stackball mechanics with endless runner gameplay. Built at 208 Studios.

Another two-week sprint at 208 Studios — this time fusing the stackball impact loop with endless runner pacing. The design hypothesis: take a known satisfying core (smashing stacks) and stretch it into a longer session loop.

Procedural level generation, difficulty scaling, and reactive camera work were the core engineering. The challenge with hyper-casual runners is keeping the camera feel “fast” without making the player nauseous on cheap phones.
